Big Scary Australian Tour

The garage/pop duo to launch national tour in April.

The new Melbourne duo on the scene are Big Scary. Boy-girl pair, Tom Iansek and Jo Syme released their debut LP, Vacation last year only then to play a run of sold-out shows last October. The band impressed crowds at Homebake and are quickly establishing themselves as ones to watch.

This year, Big Scary are already slated to perform at two international showcases, SXSW and Canadian Music Week, before launching their North American tour on the East and West Coasts. Upon their return, the duo plan on sharing the love with their compatriots, launching their Australian tour in April. The national dates, which have just been announced, will see the band supported by Geoffrey O'Connor (East Coast only) and special guests. Tickets go on sale Friday February 19 2012.

Lead singer, Tom Iansek, said: “This will be the biggest national tour we’ve ever done. We’ve been practicing hard and we’re looking forward to taking the Vacation songs, and a smattering of even newer material on the road.”

Check out the band performing 'Gladiator', their first single off the album on a rooftop.
